Our Singing Sensations

Do you ever feel like you've only blinked, and another week has flown by? Of course, it was another eventful one. The highlights were a surprise visit from my California sis and her cute family, Mother's Day complete for me with pampering, extra attention, and lots of wonderful gifts, some of the best ones homemade, AND we were privy to attend two special performances, one starring Lauren and her school choir, the other, Ellie and preschool pals. Lauren has enjoyed singing in her school and our church choirs since the first grade. She loves to sing and we have enjoyed attending all of the Christmas, patriotic, and just because concerts she has performed in. I don't know who enjoyed her singing in the church choir more, her or me. I always got the biggest kick out of seeing her and her little friend Abby, up by the pulpit, singing their little hearts out with the other choir members, all who were older (several decades!) than they!

Ellie's program was so fun, they recited the Pledge of Allegiance, sang lots of songs, and they even showed off some sign language they've learned! I can't believe this year of preschool has come to an end. It just seems that it was last week when she'd help me drive Lauren & Bryson to school, and she would ask when she would get to go? I repeatedly made the mistake of telling her "when she was bigger." As soon as we'd get home, she'd eat anther bowl of cereal and say "I'm bigger now!" Anyway, she has loved preschool and especially because her cousin Jaron attended with her.
