Special Boy, Special Day

Bryson was so excited for this day to arrive! He turned 8 on October 19th, and thought he would be baptized the first weekend of Novemeber until we learned it was our conference weekend for our new Stake. Then, we ended up pushing it to the 3rd weekend, so G'pa & G'pa S. could join us.
What a special day it was. The program and the ordinance both were spiritual and touched our hearts. Because Bryson was the only child baptized that night, our family got to plan the program. I know that he will always remember his sweet Grandmothers messages and testimonies that they shared during their talks, and the beautiful musical number his sisters and cousins sang. What a privilege and blessing it was for his Father to baptize and confirm him and to have all the Priesthood of our family take part too. During the program, I felt so much gratitude as I looked around at our loved ones. We are richly blessed to have so many who love and support our family. So many good examples and influences in our children's lives. I know that many experience their baptism without the love and support of family and friends, what a difficult thing. Later that night, I found Bryson in his bed writing in his journal, what a beautiful thing for a mother to see, and something he will always cherish. Lauren told him that night that he looked like he was glowing, he really did, he was so happy. Bryson is such a choice spirit. I feel so blessed to have him as a part of our family and I felt very privileged to share this sacred experience with him.
