Birthday Boy

I keep telling him to stop growing up, because he has to stay my "little boy" but he hasn't minded me, and now he is 8!  This is an exciting birthday, he gets to be baptized, start scouts, and wouldn't you know that the first night we slept in our new home was the eve of his birthday, so he got his dream come true, his own BEDROOM!  No more sharing with a sister!  To celebrate (and also because there was no food in the house yet) we went to Red Robin on Saturday night.  What a smile he had when they brought out the mud pie, and what a nice guy to share with his family!  He did get the last BIG bit though.

He has been hinting at a Rip Stick (swivel skateboard ) for almost a year now.  So, that's what he got.  He was also really thrilled with the scout shirt, hat, scarf & merit badge book G'pa & G'ma M gave him.  Sunday, his actual birthday was made extra special because it is also his Aunt Rachel's birthday too, so we celebrated together.  Bryson, you are such an amazing boy.  You are so kind, helpful, patient and fun.  You are an example and a friend to everyone you know.  We love you!  Happy Birthday!

Bryson is such a fun, happy boy. I've told you before, Gavin hasn't found a friend as good as Bryson. Can't wait for your baptism, Bryson!
