Bear Lake '08

Okay, brace yourself, there are a lot of pictures....when you have so many fun ones, how do you choose?  Our annual Bear Lake trip has been a tradition in the running for 7 years now and is one that our family always looks forward to.  This year was extra great (& crazy) because the entire clan was able to make it.  Because there were so many of us, Jas and Jen's family along with our own, volunteered to stay in tents out on the back lawn (oh, aren't we so nice?....okay, okay, I confess it was our turn since we've had the cabin bedrooms the last 7 years!)  The tent thing proved to be exhausting and now looking back comical.  Really, it was comical then too, Jenni and I giggling outside at 1:00 am while throwing tarps over the tents to protect from the rain and trying to remember if lightening is drawn to metal only or aluminum as well? Think of every distraction you could have while tenting it, and we had it - well, at least no one threw up!  We all had so much fun playing in the water & sand, boating, playing games at the cabin, walking to the nearby sno-shack and eating a lot of yummy food.  I feel so grateful for such a close family, we all get along and really enjoy being together.
Bear Lake Beauties

Aren't these the 2 luckiest guys EVER?!

Me and Brax just messing around behind the boat

Okay, just kidding, I haven't done that kind of water skiing for years (!) and due to needed back surgery in a few weeks, this is the best Braxton could do this year...a tube ride with the 4 & 7 year olds!

What can I say?

I had to take a picture of this bum!  Do they come any cuter?

Relaxing in the Jacuzzi

Proud daddies!  Babies Ty and Ariana's first Bear Lake trip!

How hard is it to get a picture of the entire group?  Apparently, VERY!  With everyone going different directions this is the best we could do and
it is only half of us!

We celebrated Pioneer Day while at the lake and made it memorable with
pioneer attire, stories & games.

The "stick pull" a pioneer game that Joseph Smith enjoyed and was very good at.  My hunky brothers ended up breaking the sick during an intense match!

Making ice cream...pioneer style!

The evening ended with TONS of sparklers!

What a FUN week and what a GREAT family!
